Kurobe Dam, Japan


Kurobe Dam on the Kurobe River in Toyama Prefecture, Japan. Opened in 1963, the arch dam is the tallest in Japan at 186 metres. Kurobe Dam supports the Kurobe No. 4 power station which generates about 1 billion kilowatt-hours annually.
