During a working visit to the Kingdom of Denmark, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky ,visited the Fighter Wing Skrydstrup air base of the Royal Danish Air Force. Accompanied by Prime Minister of Denmark Mette Frederiksen and the Royal Air Force Command, the Head of State familiarized himself with the technical features of F-16 Fighting Falcon jets and the training program for Ukrainian pilots on these aircraft. He spoke with Ukrainian pilots who are undergoing training on F-16s to protect Ukrainian skies.


"Greetings, dear officers and soldiers, pilots and engineers. You are the future of security in our skies. I am honored to be here today at the invitation of the Prime Minister of Denmark. I would like to thank Mette and her team, and all the Danish people. It is a truly historic step from friendly Denmark that our pilots are trained on F-16s," Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized. The President noted that he is aware of the great motivation of Ukrainian pilots and engineers to quickly and efficiently master new equipment. "I wish you successful training and return home with your new wings as soon as possible to defend our country, its sovereignty and territorial integrity. To protect our people and our homes. I am confident in each of you," he said. Volodymyr Zelenskyy also presented state awards to the Ukrainian military. The President emphasized that the whole of Ukraine is proud of its defenders and wished them success. During the visit to the base, the Head of State examined F-16 jets and familiarized himself with their capabilities and peculiarities of operation.
