Grey green coat with rings of black yellowish, yellow giving a multicolour appearance. The skin on the face and long pointed muzzle is a dark grey black. Long tails. Cheek pouches or special sacs on the inside of their cheeks for storing food. In areas where human population is increasing baboons can raid crops and feed on garbage and human refuse and can cause damage to human habitation. Often persecuted or hunted by local farmers because of this. Eat a variety of foods. Omnivorous, Omnivores. Have complex hunting patterns. Prefer to seek sleeping refuges on rocky ledges and cliffs to trees in order to avoid big cat predators. The cats have difficulty scaling cliffs as they cannot find holdings for their claws which baboons can with their hands and feet.
