STATES OF MICRONESIA (Dec. 12, 2016) – A loadmaster attached to the 36th Airlift Squadron, Yokota Air Base, Japan, waves to the natives of a Micronesian island after dropping off care packages during Operation Christmas Drop, Dec. 11. Operation Christmas Drop is an international humanitarian operation that provides critical supplies to 56 islands through the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas, Federated States of Micronesia and Republic of Palau, impacting about 20,000 people.
