Zyloric tablets. Zyloric is a brand name of a medicine containing the active ingredient allopurinol. Allopurinol is used to lower the levels of uric acid in the body, as in the treatment of gout. Uric acid is produced by an enzyme called xanthine oxidase. Alluropinol inhibits the action of this enzyme.
