Mr. Joseph Vernon as Thurio in "Two Gentlemen of Verona." Thurio is shown standing in breeches and stockings, wearing a cape with lace collar, playing a lute. Vernon made his debut in 1750, and continued playing in London and Dublin until 1781, but was not regarded as a performer of the first rank.
