X-ray nanoprobe microscope. Researchers Evgeny Nazaretzi and Yong Chu with the Hard X-ray Nanoprobe (HXN) microscope at Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL), New York, USA. This device is able to image nanostructures and chemical reactions down to nanometre resolution. It uses ultra-bright X-rays from the National Synchrotron Light Source II (NSLS-II) at BNL. Photographed on 20 January 2015.
