M. Fumouse kept them for more than a month without food, and they were as lively at the end as at the beginning of their fast. This is the species that is most commonly met with in stores of Cantharides, which are very subject to the attacks of mites (T. siro among others). M. Fumouse has followed the development of this species. In order to observe them, he placed a certain number of individuals with small portions of Cantharides between two plates of glass, separated the one from the other by a circular band of cardboard.
