Traditional weavers working on Samarinda Sarongs in Kalimantan. The oriental weavers use traditional methods to make authentic silk cotton sarongs

Traditional weavers working on Samarinda Sarongs in Kalimantan, Indonesian Borneo. These oriental weavers use traditional methods to make beautiful authentic and natural sarongs from the finest natural fibres available to them often this can be silk from the silk worm. The machines are in some ways primitive wooden looms which require strenuous work but the result is well worth the effort and the price of such commodities as it should be is higher than the cheap synthetic sarongs.
