View ENE of the late Norman church of St Nicholas, Penally, Pembrokeshire, Wales, UK. It replaced an earlier church associated with St Teilo who was born here around AD500. An Early Medieval wheel-head cross once stood in the churchyard W of the tower marking his birthplace, that & another C9th/10th cross were moved into the church in the early 1990s. Teilo belonged to the family of Cunedda, Prince of South Wales. All traces of his cult here were lost when the monastic community was dispersed.
