Huiin gave talks on methods of i)ropagation. This was followed l)y a lecture by Harold A. Pratt on the care of pot plants for ama- teurs. This was made especially inter- esting ])y a series of clever sketches on the blackboard. Miss Lua A. Minns spoke on "Plant Companions," consid- ering indoor plants and their effect in tlie home and listing several desirable l)lants for home culture. The final lec- ture of the series was given by Dr. Rob- ert Matheson, of the department of en- tomology, who spoke on "Insect Pests of Plants in the House and Flower Gar' ; Dr. Matheson discussed some of the common insect pests of flowers and gave directions for the usual means of control. The last event on the floriculture ])rograi)i w;is a round-table discussion, in which the various troubles of the ama- teur floriculturist were discussed.
