An officer's kilij, Ottoman, 2nd Half of the 19th century. Slender single edged blade with double-edged point and fullers on both sides. The upper half of the blade is richly etched with vine ornamentation around a crescent moon and star. Shaped silver quillons and grip of silver with remnants of gilding. Shagreen leather covered wooden scabbard with silver mountings worked en suite.
