Mr. Armstrong is a Mason andpast master of King Solomon Lodge, , and treasurer of same; also a memberof Union Chapter, No. 165, R. A. M.; Union-town Commandery, No. 49, K. T. (beingpresent captain general); Pennsylvania Con-sistory, Valley Pittsburg, S. P. R. S., and a32d degree Ancient and Accepted Scottishrite Mason. He is also a member of theRoyal Arcanum. He and his family aremembers of the First Presbyterian church ofConnellsville. He is one of the board oftrustees of that church, has been a memberfor fifteen years, and secretary of that bodyfor ten years and its presiding officer since1896.
