Since then there lias been a much-needed stiffen-ing of policy in the councils of the Transvaal Chamberof Mines, and a campaign for efficiency is being initiate!.It is interesting to note that the complex questions re-lating t what is termed selective mining are being re-considered; in several quarters it is contended thai theRand mines, and particularly the richer ones.
