Ten years ago 70,000 demonstrators linked arms in a human chain around center of Birmingham and the conference center in which the G8 leaders were meeting calling on them to 'Drop the Debt' owed by poor countries to the rich - largely arising from their colonial exploitation. Ten years later, in May 2008, several thousand returned to the ICC conference center where the G8 had met in 1998 in a 'Journey to Justice' - a conference and demonstration on the progress made.
