A pair of silver-mounted flintlock pistols, Southern France, circa 1800. Two-stage barrels with an octagonal breech section and a chiselled separation between. Smooth bores in 15 mm calibre with patent breeches. Engraved and gold-inlaid decoration on the breeches. Gold-inlaid waterproof locks with sliding safeties and frizzens with roller bearings. Dark walnut full stocks (one forearm damaged) with profuse silver wire inlays (missing in places). Beautiful silver furniture with floral decoration in relief.
