The Cluanie Inn in Glen Shiel nestled between Sgurr an Fhuarail (987m on the left) and Am Bathach (798m on the right) with the top of Ciste Dhubh (979m behind it ). The Cluanie Inn is remote and sits on the former Old Military Road which is now the A87. It is a major road in the Scottish Highlands and runs along the north shores of Loch Garry and Loch Cluanie, past the Cluanie Inn and down through Glen Shiel, along Loch Duich to Kyle of Lochalsh before crossing the Skye Bridge to Kyleakin, Broadford, and Portree, before terminating at Uig on the west coast of the Isle of Skye.
