SAN DIEGO (Sept. 24, 2022) – Boatswain’s Mate 3rd Class Cesar Alicea-Castaing leads visitors through the well deck of amphibious transport dock USS Anchorage (LPD 23) as part of a tour during the Naval Base San Diego (NBSD) Centennial Celebration, Sept. 24. The NBSD Centennial Celebration honored the partnership between the base and its community by granting public access to a portion of the base to show off Navy assets and provide a better understanding of what happens within the base. Anchorage is homeported in San Diego.
