Clara H. Hasse (1880-1926), American botanist. After graduating from the University of Michigan, USA, in 1903 Hasse worked as assistant horticulturist and botanist at the US Department of Agriculture's Bureau of Plant Industry. While there she identified that a bacterium was the causative agent of citrus canker. She went on to work at the Florida Agricultural Experiment Station at the Florida Agricultural College.
