The form collected here differs in its somewhat more longly pointed stem-leaves and narrower, more slightty toothed, branch-leaves. Note. Brachythecium phirnosum (Sw.) Br. eur. is recorded by Gron- lund from several localities, but all the specimens of it in the col- lections have been wrongly determined and the majority of them belong to Hypmim Fig. 14.
