Turbohaler. Woman holding a turbohaler, a device used to administer a drug in powder or vapour form. It is used to treat various respiratory disorders, including asthma and chronic bronchitis. The user puts the nozzle of the inhaler in her mouth and turns the end to release the drug. She can then inhale through the top of the inhaler in her own time. This method is often easier for the user than the pump inhaler, which involves coordinating spraying and inhaling the drug.
