Azhdarchid pterosaur hunting, artwork. Azhdarchidae were a family of huge pterosaurs that lived 108-65 million years ago. Some species grew wingspans of over 11 metres and stood over six metres tall. It is thought that unlike birds, pterosaurs used all four limbs when moving on the ground. The azhdarchid shown here has caught a baby Tyrannosaurus dinosaur.
