Probably the best thing about Gythion is that it’s a typical Greek town where you can experience real Greek life because it’s not yet been invaded by foreign tourists. Hidden in southern Greece, in the mysterious region of the Mani in the Peloponnese, it’s easily overlooked as a tourist destination. We headed for Gythion in Greece to see what it’s like.
