He and Fulton became fast friends. Fulton marriedHarriett, daughter of Walter Livingston, a relative ofthe Chancellors, and when he came to die as he didFebruary 24, 1815, he was buried in the Livingstonvault in Trinity Churchyard, New York City, He lefthis wife, one son and three daughters.
