Swollen and distorted roots of a Brussel Sprout plant caused by Clubroot, Plasmodiophora brassicae Mastigomycotina, a fungal disease of cabbages, turnips, and related plants, in which the root becomes swollen and distorted by a single large gall or groups of smaller ones. This specimen is a Brussel Sprout Doric F1 hybrid. The plant looks remarkably healthy despite the fungal disease attacking its roots.
