Previous studies suggested the possibility of a significant change in allele fre- quencies with water depth in LAP (Gooch and Schopf, 1971), and this was further investigated. In a test of homogeneity (Dixon and Massey, 1969, page 241) for LAP at the MBL Water Intake Dock, there is a significant difference comparing samples at 0-2 m (p = ) vs. 6-7 m (p = ), (X2(1) = , P> )..
