Around the UK - Cobra Mist site, Orford Ness, Suffolk, UK

Cobra Mist was the codename for an Anglo-American experimental over-the-horizon radar station. From1913 this area was used by the MOD for testing weapons up until the Cold War, when the Atomic Weapons Research Establishment used the area for testing Nuclear Bombs. Much of the area is still 'out of bounds'.
