Portsmouth, Va. (March 25, 2017) Lt. Cmdr. Mike Mattingly, a pediatric cardiologist at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth (NMCP), talks about the risks of a newborn developing a heart murmur during the Tidewater Military Pediatric Symposium at NMCP. With the goal of improving communication between facilities, the pediatric symposium was open to doctors, nurses and members of the multidisciplinary care team who treat pediatric patients at any of the military treatment facilities in the Tidewater region.
