A German carved ivory powder flask, circa 1820 Oval, hollow body. The shoulder with carved, continuous hunting scene with horsemen, hunters and hounds in a woodland scenery in fine relief. The centre with an inserted, oval plate with a young man and a hound. The outer edge carved in half relief with continuous animal head tendrils. The reverse side decorated with grooves, the girdle-shaped spout with plug. Attached to it a carrying cord with tassels.
