The leader was formerly an employee of the Leo Niessen Co., so that he and his associates went to en- joy the picnic, as well as to add to the pleasure. Everybody went and every- body had a good time. The day was perfect, and everything was done to make the guests enjoy their visit. Various Notes. The S. S. Pennock Co. had cut flower sales in May of this year which ex- peeded those of May a year ago. Edward Reid is receiving some won- derful valley. The employees of the Henry F. Michell Co. are having a half-holiday pvery other Saturday. The Leo Niessen Co. will close at 4 o'clock every afternoon, commencing June 20. The rose meeting of the Gcrmantown Horticultural Society wu;] held June 13, at the library at Vernon park. The riiihidelphia Cut Flower Co. is receiving the tirst locally grown out- door gladioli of the season. The variety is I'ink lleauty. Miss Dorothy Campbell, daughter of George E.
