Then thetop of the tower of St. Michael Penkevil is seen on that side, andon the opposite shore, up a tiny creek, the old church tower ofSt. Kea. St. Kea was probably the Irish Kea who was convertedby St. Patrick when he preached at Tara Hill, and who is allegedto have chosen the usual conveyance of Irish saints across thesea to Cornwall—viz., a granite slab. In 1803 this church, farremoved from the population of the parish, ceased to be used, Falmouth, Truro, etc. section map n°xi. ST.
