Brazil, Bahia: Manager Gonzalo Rostan shows a Hawksbill turtle (Eretmochelys imbricata) in the Tamar Project in Praia do Forte

Tamar is a protection and education project for endangered sea turtles and the preservation of the coastal nesting places. Sea turtles come to Praia do Forte beach to put their eggs in hundreds of nests in the sand. They need to be protected to guarantee the survival of the baby turtles on their way to the ocean. Gonzalo Rostan is the dedicated manager of Tamar Project in Praia do Forte.
