Bosc (Beurre Bosc)—A large and beautiful russety pear; very distinct, with a long neck ; melting, or nearly so, high flavored and delicious. A moderate grower and rather irregular; bears well. We top graft in order to get good standard trees. It does not succeed on the quince, and in order to obtain dwarf trees it must be double worked. September to October. 75c. Bonssock (Doyenne Boussock)—A large pear of good quality, resembling the White Doyenne. Tree a very vigor- ous, rapid groAver and abundant bearer. This variety is far from being appreciated. We can recommend it as a valuable market pear. September. 50c. Doyenne White—A Avell known and almost universally esteemed variety of the highest excellence. Tree a vigor- ous groM-er, productive and hardy ; succeeds best in most parts of the West. 50c. Flemish Beauty—A large, beautiful, melting, sweet pear. Tree very hardy, vigorous and fruitful;, succeeds well in most parts of the country. September and October.
