University Park is the University of Nottingham’s largest campus at 300 acres. Part of the University since 1929 and set in extensive greenery and around a lake, University Park is located only two miles from the city centre. Sherwood Hall was designed as an interpretation of the traditional collegiate quadrangle, but using contemporary forms and materials. A distinctive feature is the white painted shiplap weatherboarding, which gives the hall something of a North American feel.
