NAVAL BASE KITSAP-BREMERTON, Wash. (June 13, 2018) Electronics Technician 2nd Class Steven Freeman, from Los Angeles, Nevada is wearing a two-piece flame resistant prototype as part of a wear test being conducted by Fleet Forces Command. The wear test began May 14, 2018 and runs through September 2018 to determine if the two-piece variant will support clothing requirements for operational units. Nimitz is conducting a docking planned incremental availability at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility where the ship is receiving scheduled maintenance and upgrades.
