A brank, or mask of shame Horned helmet in the style of an armet with "Schembart" visor, made for a collector and modelled after an original dating from the 16th century. Two-piece hammered skull with riveted, spirally twisted iron ram´s horns. Hinged two-piece bevor. Hinged, multiply pierced visor in the shape of a male face. Even, dark patina. Height 40 cm, width 37 cm. This elaborate piece was designed after an armet housed today in the Royal Armouries in Leeds.
