Commission of William, Bishop ofLincoln, president of the Earls Council, Master Robert Frost, chancellor,Richard Pole, Knt., chamberlain, Thomas Englefield, vice-justice ofChester, Thomas, Abbot of Basynwerk, and Thomas Maynwaring, tosurvey all the Earls manors, honors, hereditaments, etc., and to approve thesame, and to survey all forests in the said county, and to correct all abuses inthe government of the same ; also to conclude with the magnates, knights,peers, and other free tenants touching the subsidy usually given to the Earl onhis coming into his inheritance. -J^~.
