Suchomimus, a large Spinosaurid dinosaur

Suchomimus (meaning:crocodile mimic) was a large Spinosaurid dinosaur with a crocodilian-like set of jaws. It lived 110 to 120 million years ago, during the middle Cretaceous period in Africa, when the Sahara was a lush swampy habitat. Suchomimus was characterized by a very long snout and narrow jaws. The tip of this snout was enlarged to allow for longer teeth which aided in feeding on their primary diet of fish. Suchomimus was about 11 m (36 ft) in length which made it a formidable predator.
