A second generator has now been addedand everything is ready for the installation of the third andlast unit which will be placed in position as soon as thedemand for power and light warrants Water Supply At Erindale village the Credit river takes a sharp turnand doubles back on itself within a length of little morethan half a mile, passing over, at the same time, a series of. Kxtciioi- Iowci- House—lOrindiili Power Co. rapids re]ire>enting a total fall of some twenty-live or tliirtyfeet. Lp stream a further series of rapids formerly obtainedand the river was enclosed by high, wide banks well suitedfor storage purposes. A concrete dam has been constructedat this midway point, some 34 feet deep, above the river bed(the foundation being carried 20 feet below the river bed tnthe rock), thus creating a storage area of upwards of lOOacres. This forebay is connected by an underground the narrowest neck of the peninsula, with the puwrihouse located on the rivers bank below. The large diverting dam is constructeil of reinfiircclconcrete and is some 700 feet in length. .\ lOO-fodt spillway with three ()-f<ioi stop-log sluiceways occupy the ceiitral portion of this structure.
