Besides allthese enterprises, he has a large interest inthe West Virginia Lumber Co., the streetcar company at Connellsville, the telephonethere and other enterprises. He standshigh among the people of Connellsville, andalso of Fayette county, as a man of honorand iiUigrity, and is spoken of as a man ofgreat kindness of heart, and always ready todo a friend a favor, and help the needy andthose in trouble. Mr. Marietta was marriedin Connellsville, November 26, 1867, toEmma McCormick, daughter of George andLucinda McCormick, of Connellsville; bothof whom arc of Scotch-Irish descent, andtheir people were among the early settlersof Fayette county. Mr. and Mrs. Mariettahave eiglit children: llarrv, Rosa, William.
