If the location of the schoolhouse makes it impracticable for pupils to go outto study high towers of any sort, an entrance porch or a simply built piazza or bal-cony would make an interesting study. A flight of steps, especially one with postsat the foot, would make serious demands on pupils powers, and, well handled, mightproduce artistic and interesting results.
