Air Force Staff Sgt. Scott Perry, 145th Operations Support Squadron, trains fellow air crew flight equipment inspectors on the proper use of a pen flare during annual Land Navigation Training held at Camp John J. Barnhardt, New London, NC, Nov. 5, 2016. The course is a one-day event run by the 145th Operations Support Squadron in an effort to train aircrew members on survival and rescue scenarios including but not limited to essential equipment, night and day flare operation, and land navigation with maps and compasses.
