Edward V, King of England, 1483 (1932). Edward V (1470-1483?) succeeded his father, Edward IV, as King in April 1483. He was deposed in June and was succeeded by his uncle, Richard, Duke of Gloucester, who ruled as Richard III. Edward and his brother Richard, Duke of York, were subsequently murdered in the Tower of London.
