A silver-mounted Ottoman battle axe,around 1700 A sturdy forged iron blade with a slightly rounded edge and a quadrangular hammer piece constricted on the sides. Round wooden helve with decoratively chased silver mountings(heavily darkened in places). The leather cover with cord inlays is a later replacement. Length 69 cm.
