The E^g Plant will thrive well in any good garden soil, but will repay good treatment. The seed should be sown in hot-beds the first week in April, care be- ing taken to protect the young plants from the coid at night. Plant out about June 1st, about tw'o and a half feet apart, if no hot-bed is at hand, sufficient plants may be raised for a small garden by sowing a few seeds in common flower-pots or boxes in the house.
