210408-N-VD554-1038 SOUTH CHINA SEA (April 8, 2021) – Lt. Alexis McPike, from Mexico, Mo., uses a stadimeter as the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Rafael Peralta (DDG 115) approaches the fleet replenishment oiler USNS Pecos (T-AO 197) for a refueling at sea. Rafael Peralta is assigned to Task Force 71/Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 15, the Navy's largest forward-deployed DESRON and the 7th Fleet's principal surface force.
