Kolkata, India. 24th May, 2015. People experience the scorching heat of the sun. Intense heat killed eight persons across the state, including death in Kolkata. Maximum temperature reached 39 degrees in Kolkata. Taxi driver Shatrughan Poddar died due to heat wave in Sukanta Setu, Jadavpur area. After two taxi driver death Taxi Association decided not to run the services from 11 am to 4 pm. Meteorological department inform that heat wave could linger for another two to three days.
