American cluster bomb cases left over from the American Vietnam war piled up as a gateway in a village in Northern Laos


Muang Ngoi in the far north east of Laos is just a few miles from the Vietnamese border and the Old French outpost at Dien Bien Phu, only reached by boat trip up the Nam Ou river, it is a one dirt track village which was a communist stronghold during the French Indo China and part of the Ho Chi Minh trail in the second IndoChina war and was heavily bombed by the American air force in the mid sixties. Left over bomb casing are now used as vases gate posts boats fences
