Stockbridge, Hampshire, UK. 14th April, 2016. Emergency services were called to a section of the A3057 following a serious collision between a Large goods vehicle and two motorcycles. Police closed off a section of the A3057 Leckford Lane, Stockbridge just outside the Leckford and Longstock golf course. Emergency services were called to the scene just after 5pm this evening. The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance also attended the scene and landed on the 10th hole at the golf course. The driver of the lorry has been detained by Police officers. Stockbridge,Hampshire Thursday 14th April 2015 Emergency services were called to a section of the A3057 following a serious collision between a Large goods vehicle and two motorcycles. Police closed off a section of the A3057 Leckford Lane, Stockbridge just outside the Leckford and Longstock golf course. Emergency services were called to the scene just after 5pm this evening. The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance also attended the scene and landed on the 10th hole at the golf course. The driver of the lorry has been detained by Police officers. He has been arrested over the death of one of the Biker. A 68 year old man from The collision between the flat bed Hi-ab Large good vehicle and two off-road bikes took place just outside the entrance of the clubhouse. Police and paramedics battled to save the riders who sadly died at the scene. A second man was treated at the scene and taken to Salisbury District Hospital with minor injuries. Hampshire Fire and Rescue Crews two appliances from Andover and a Rescue Support Vehicle (RSV) from Redbridge attended the incident and carried out scene safety. The road this evening remains closed whilst Police crime and collision scene investigators piece together how the fatal incident happened. A spokeswoman for South Central Ambulance Service said: “We got the call to Leckford Lane at involving a lorry and two motorcyclists. "We had on scene a rapid response vehicle, an ambulance crew, an ambulance officer, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance and a hazardous area response team. "One patient was taken to Salisbury District Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The incident is being handled by police.” Police are now appealing for information and ask any witnesses to call 101.
