An Australian Supercharged Outlaws drag racing utility performs a pre race rolling burnout

STRICTLY EDITORIAL USE ONLY "Supercharged Outlaws is one of the most popular brackets in Australian drag racing and uses a ‘No Rules’ format that allows any supercharged V8 engined vehicle to compete. Nonetheless, Australia’s governing body for drag racing, ANDRA (Australian National Drag Racing Association) deems that Supercharged Outlaws is a Dial Your Own (DYO) handicap class and cars must run between seconds and seconds on the quarter mile. Actual race results are based on a mathematical formula that involves closeness to the marker as well as the driver’s reaction time. The class combines both V8 supercharged traditional type drag racing open wheelers, rails, altereds and such like with V8 supercharged sedans based on classic or modern road cars. The image seen here shows one of Western Australia’s leading Supercharged Outlaws drivers, Ian Foster, performing a pre race burnout in his supercharged 540ci Holden Commodore VS utility."
